Issue 4, sadly, was never published.  In fact there were issues all the way through to six that never saw print, comics are a hard industry for companies to make a go of it in, and Mermaid Publications quietly closed up shop.  The cover was horrible though, a good idea crippled by my execution.

I admit, looking back at the Go-Go Boy it's all so tragically thin.  Still at the time it was a big deal, the series was one of the first gay superhero comics out there.  Ah, the 90s...  Get a load of the slick computer generated logo we started using with this issue.

Issue 2 of the  Go-Go Boy, the artwork was much improved and the writing started to find it's own place I think.  I was learning a lot about the narrative structure of comic books on the fly though.

Long ago, back in 1992 I did a comic book series.  It was called Go-Go Boy and followed the exploits of a naive and young gay superhero.  The first issue was very rough, indeed I taught myself to draw over the course of first three issues.  Luckily, or unluckily, I spilt a glass of water on the next two books, meaning I had to re-draw them, resulting in numbers 2 and 3 featuring a huge jump in the quality of artwork. Anyway, here's the first issue.
